Talroo, Inc. (“Talroo” or “Company”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.
IMPORTANT: Talroo does not sell your personal information, and does not share it with third parties for their own commercial purposes. We share personal information only to connect job seekers with potential employers and with service providers who support the operation of the Talroo Platform, as further described in this policy.

The Digital Assets, together with the technology infrastructure and systems Talroo uses to operate and deliver them, are collectively referred to as the “Talroo Platform.” This policy also describes our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
This policy applies to information we collect:

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use a Digital Asset. By accessing or using a Digital Asset, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your continued use of a Digital Asset after we make changes to this policy is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.
The Digital Assets are not intended for children under 16 years of age. No one under age 16 may provide any information through the Digital Assets. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information through the Digital Assets. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 16, please contact us at privacy@talroo.com.
You can log in to our Digital Assets using sign-in services such as Facebook Connect or an Open ID provider. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal information with us, such as your name and email address, to pre-populate our sign-up form. Services like Facebook Connect give you the option to post information about your activities on a Website to your profile page to share with others within your network. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH FACEBOOK OR ANY OTHER THIRD-PARTY WEBSITE IS GOVERNED SOLELY BY YOUR AGREEMENT WITH SUCH THIRD-PARTY WEBSITE.
We collect several types of information from and about users of the Digital Assets, including information:

Some Advertisements are served by third parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, and application providers. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use a Website or interact with Advertisements. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.
We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to opt out of having your information collected or used in this way. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) on the NAI’s website. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly. For information about how you can opt out of receiving targeted advertising from many providers, see Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information .
Talroo does not share personal information with any third party for any purpose, other than (i) to help connect job seekers with potential employers, and (ii) to service providers and processors that support the operation of our Digital Assets, including AI service providers used to power Extension features, as described in this policy and in the AI Processing on the Talroo Platform section below.
We use information we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:
Limited Use of Extension Data. Data collected through an Extension is used solely to provide and improve autofill, job extraction, similar-job recommendations, diagnostics, and support features of that Extension. Extension data is not used for conversion measurement, ad optimization, targeted advertising, sale to data brokers, assessment of creditworthiness, or any purpose other than those described in this paragraph.
Future Use for First-Party Model Training. In the future, Talroo may use interactions with an Extension to train or improve Talroo’s own proprietary job-matching models. Talroo will provide notice and, where required by applicable law, obtain your consent before using Extension data for this purpose.
For more information, see Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information .
We may use the information we have collected from you to display Advertisements to our advertisers’ target audiences. Even though we do not disclose your personal information for these purposes without your consent, if you click on or otherwise interact with an Advertisement, the advertiser may assume you meet its target criteria.
Talroo may de-identify data collected through its Digital Assets, including an App or the Jobs2Careers+ Extension, such that it no longer identifies or is reasonably linkable to any individual. Talroo may use and disclose such anonymized data for any purpose, including:
You may register to receive communications, including job alerts, via our short message service (“SMS Service”). Participation in the SMS Service is not required to use a Digital Asset. By registering to participate in the SMS Service, you certify that you are authorized: (i) to enroll the designated mobile phone number in the SMS Service, and (ii) to incur any mobile message or data charges that may be incurred by participating in the SMS Service.
You may subscribe to the SMS Service by submitting your mobile phone number and full name in the provided form accessed through a Digital Asset. By entering this information and completing the submission form, you consent to Talroo contacting you on your mobile phone.
Text STOP to stop receiving text messages from Talroo and HELP to receive help.
By participating in the SMS Service, you acknowledge and agree that you may incur charges from your mobile carrier. Check your carrier’s plan for details.
Talroo is not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, or misdirected messages, including without limitation undelivered messages resulting from any form of filtering by your mobile carrier, service provider, or otherwise.
You acknowledge and agree that the SMS Service may be provided through third party recruitment channel vendors or automated dialing technology.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the SMS Service, in whole or in part, for any reason, with or without notice to you.
This section describes the specific data practices for Talroo’s browser extensions. The current extension, Jobs2Careers+, is a Chrome browser extension that detects when you are completing a job application on a third-party website and, using your Jobs2Careers profile and Talroo’s backend, automatically fills in the application form on your behalf. Its single purpose is to streamline the job application process for job seekers.
The Extension operates only on pages it identifies as job application or job listing pages. On those pages, it accesses and collects:
The Extension does not collect information from pages that are not identified as job application or job listing pages.
The Extension transmits the page information described above to the Talroo Platform, together with relevant information from your Jobs2Careers profile (such as your work history, education, skills, and contact information), so that the Talroo Platform can generate autofill answers and extract job information. The Talroo Platform then passes the application form content and relevant profile data to an AI service provider for processing, as described in the AI Processing section below. The Extension does not share your profile data directly with the third-party website hosting the job application.
Once the Talroo Platform has generated the autofill answers, the Extension fills in the fields of the third-party application form on your behalf. The information entered into the form is drawn from your Jobs2Careers profile and may include your name, contact information, work history, education, skills, and, if you have provided them and elected to autofill EEO fields, demographic information such as gender, race or ethnicity, veteran status, or disability status. You remain in control and may review and edit any field before submitting the application.
The Extension does not maintain a separate long-term user profile. It relies on your Jobs2Careers profile, which is managed through the Jobs2Careers web product. The Extension may store authentication tokens and session data locally in your browser to maintain your logged-in state. The Extension requests only the Chrome permissions necessary to detect job application pages, read page content on those pages, and communicate with Talroo’s backend.
Talroo uses AI service providers to power features across the Talroo Platform, including resume ingestion and parsing, job application autofill (on Talroo-hosted forms and through the Extension), qualifying-question prefill, the job-search chat agent, conversation summarization, content and security filtering, candidate-to-job fit scoring, career-intent inference, personalized messaging, and normalization of screening answers and search queries. These features may process personal information from your profile, uploaded resume, and chat interactions. As of the date of this policy, Talroo uses the following AI service providers for these purposes: Anthropic, Google Vertex AI (Gemini), Google Gemini API, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and Groq. All of these providers operate under enterprise or paid API terms. Under those terms, none of these providers use customer prompts, outputs, or related customer data to train or improve their foundation models by default, and although Talroo may use various other AI service providers from time to time, it will not opt in to any program or setting that would permit such use.
We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.
Employers and recruiters can search our platform, as well as partner platforms, for potential candidates they believe may be a fit for their job openings. If an employer is interested in you for a potential opportunity, and you have elected to make your information viewable, they may contact you directly via email, phone, or text message, as permitted by applicable law.
We may disclose personal information we collect or that you provide as described in this privacy policy:
We may also disclose your personal information:
If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Talroo, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
Data Retention. We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide our services, support billing and contractual obligations, comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Different categories of information are subject to different retention practices, as described below.
Activity and Click Data: Information about your interactions with our platform, including job clicks, search queries, and other usage signals, is used to deliver our services and support billing and performance reporting under our agreements with employers and advertisers. Because this information constitutes billing records and supports contractual obligations, it is retained for as long as necessary for those purposes and is not subject to a fixed deletion timeline.
Chat Data: Conversations with job-seekers conducted through Talroo’s chat utility will be deleted within 45 days following your request emailed to us at privacy@talroo.com. Conversations with employers conducted through Talroo’s chat utility may be transferred to and retained by third-party customer relationship management systems, including for sales and account management purposes. Such employer conversations will also be deleted within 45 days following an employer’s request emailed to us at privacy@talroo.com.
Extension-Collected Data: Page content, form questions, URLs, and other data collected through the Extension are treated as user data and deleted upon receipt of a valid deletion request, in accordance with applicable law. We use your email address to locate and delete data across Talroo systems in response to a deletion request.
We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:
California residents may have additional personal information rights and choices.
Please see Your California Privacy Rights for more information.
You may also send us an email at privacy@talroo.com to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
California residents may have additional personal information rights and choices.
Please see Your California Privacy Rights for more information.
California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Talroo does not disclose your personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes, but if you have any questions about this, email us at privacy@talroo.com.
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). Our full Privacy Notice for California Residents is available at talroo.com/ccpa-privacy/ and describes these rights in detail, including your rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. California residents also have the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (“SPI”), which includes racial or ethnic origin, gender, veteran or military status, disability status, and similar categories collected as part of your Jobs2Careers profile. Talroo does not use SPI for purposes beyond those permitted under the CPRA without your consent.
Residents of the following states have rights under their respective state privacy laws: Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. While the specific rights and thresholds vary by state, Talroo extends the following rights to residents of all of these states, to the extent applicable under the relevant law:
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@talroo.com or submit a request at privacy.talroo.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by your state’s law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Some rights may be subject to exceptions or may not apply depending on how we process your information or the law of your specific state.
Colorado’s Artificial Intelligence Act (Colo. Rev. Stat. § 6-1-1701 et seq.), as substantially amended by S.B. 26-189 (effective January 1, 2027), regulates the use of automated decision-making technology (“ADMT”) that materially influences consequential decisions, including decisions affecting access to employment opportunities. Talroo uses ADMT to score candidate-to-job fit and to rank or filter the job opportunities presented to you based on that score. Because this technology materially influences which employment opportunities you see, Talroo treats it as covered ADMT under the Act. Consistent with the Act, Talroo will: (i) provide clear and conspicuous notice before using this technology in connection with your job search; (ii) if an adverse decision is materially influenced by this technology, notify you within 30 days with a plain-language description of the decision and the technology’s role, along with the name and version of the technology, the categories of personal data used, and instructions for correcting inaccurate data and requesting human review of the decision; and (iii) retain records of consequential decisions for at least three years. Colorado residents may contact us at privacy@talroo.com to inquire about or exercise rights under the Colorado AI Act.
Talroo recognizes and honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of the sale and sharing of personal information for California residents, and as an opt-out of targeted advertising for residents of other states where required by law.
Do Not Track is a privacy preference that users can set in some web browsers. When a user turns on the Do Not Track signal, the browser sends a message to websites requesting them not to track the user. Talroo does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser settings or signals. In addition, we deploy cookies, web beacons, and other technologies on our Digital Assets. These tools may therefore be used by us to collect information about you and your online activity, even if you have turned on the Do Not Track signal. Note that the Do Not Track signal is distinct from the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. For information about how Talroo processes GPC signals, see Privacy Rights Under State Laws above.
We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we use industry-standard measures to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through a Digital Asset. Any transmission of personal information is therefore at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures.
It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we handle personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the Talroo Platform and, for material changes to Extension data practices, through a notice within the Extension. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any updates.
